Portrait of Cezar Vasconcelos

Hey, I'm Cezar 👋

Dev, I try to do automations with AI, and I like to talk about the impacts of technology on society.

Since I was a child, I've been messing with PCs, my father worked with them and I used to fix and format some even as a child. I attended a technical high school (IFSUL) where I discovered programming. Fun fact my first job was as a seamstress at 15, then I only started working at 17 as a waiter.

After graduating, I started as an IT intern in a local industry, besides maintaining PCs, I provided administrative support and learned more about infrastructure in a network with 200+ within a factory, I also started to dabble more in websites, since I was able to maintain the company's website.

After a while, I worked as Technical Support for an ERP, this period was awesome, serving customers who are against you because of a specific bug that only happens in their use case, and needing to debug a Java code more than 20 years old, was a great learning experience. Over time I started to program more there and found out that Java was not a language that interested me so much, JavaScript on the other hand caught my attention more.

I did some simple projects using JavaScript and understanding more about the entire webdev ecosystem. That's when I started working as a Junior Front-End using React in another company. But it's always more fun to know the end-to-end process, so I became a FullStack. There I learned more about Node, Mongo, AWS, CI/CD, etc. Besides seeing in practice how data extraction and Machine Learning are powerful. Capable of changing an entire industry to be more efficient.

Everything changed for me with GPT-4. Although the excitement around AI had somewhat settled since I started using GPT-3 at its launch, the capabilities of GPT-4, especially with the community-developed concept of Agents, made it clear to me that this technology would fundamentally alter how we process and consume information around the world.

Through some communities around AI, I met my current partner and we built Namastex Labs, where we research and explore how much can be extracted from the new generative AI technologies, our idea is to build playgrounds for anyone who wants to build their legos with AI.

Obviously, as you can see, I love talking about AI and especially about the impacts of its application on society, in fact, it's important to talk about it.
